2008 Sponsors, starting to shape up nicely
For the past couple of months, the
CynderKing, owner of the NJ Cynder has been really
busy. "Not only is it hard to field a team, but
getting the financial backing is even harder", says
Sanders.
The Cynder, who will be back on the
field in 2008 for their 7th year of existence, 5th
year of fully operational on the field and 2nd year in
the Big North East Football Federation have
committments from several sponsors.
XsSports, J&J Snacks, Subway, Comcast
and Cablevision (local) and CharterWays Bus Services
have all committed, with more sponsors on the way.
"I feel very fortunate that these
sponsors all believe in our program, but most
importantly believing in these men...Cynder MEN!"
exclaimed Sanders. "If its not on a monetary level, we
also believe in the barter/trade system too."
The Cynder are in talks with various
other companies, including several big named sponsors.
First year intern, Mike Vogel says,
"Yes, its very hard to go after these BIG SPONSORS,
who don't really know who we are, but if we at least
introduce ourselves, we're getting our name out there,
which is very important. It's a hard sell on this
level, especially if your not a winning team, but we
feel the team has extreme potential and that any
sponsorship goes a long way."
