Affectionately
known as the “Cynder King”, Mr. Sanders was raised in Jersey
City, NJ. He attended Monmouth University, received a double
degree in B.S. Management/Marketing, and is Founder/Executive
Director of the non-profit organization, the Cynder Youth
Foundation, Inc. Both entities will be soaring to new heights
in 2006.
Sanders has worked with many
companies such as, Coca-Cola Enterprises, the Independent
minor-league baseball team, the Newark Bears, the
Yankee/Nets/Devils, Inc. and currently works for a non-profit
community based group called, Hudson Community Enterprises in
Jersey City.
Jermaine has a general interest
and love for the community. In his spare time, he visits
schools and promotes reading, mentoring and awareness against
tobacco and drugs. He also is a member of Friendship Lodge
#44, Free and Accepted Masons Prince Hall Affiliate.
The Cynder King resides in Newark, New Jersey, with his daughter, Bryana Ja'Nay.
Jermaine Sanders on naming the team " Cynder".
"The
name Cynder is actually spelled Cinder having to do with fire.
It actually means to me, A small flame that never dies,"
says Sanders. "I think we all have that in each and everyone
of us. We all have a burning desire or passion to achieve
something in life and this is one of them."
